I use this for biking. It sits well on my back and can be cinched up securely to keep it stable. I like the straps which allow for tucking extra gear should I remove a jacket during the ride. The main compartment is ample in size but not excessive. I like the two way zipper on the main compartment as well as the accessory pockets on the waist strap, which provide places to tuck in small items like car keys or energy gel. Overall a good product.
estoy satisfecho con el producto cumple a cabalidad su funcion.
I've had this pack for 4 years now. I love it, it is so much better than a sweaty back pack. I tried the shoulder strap but found I didn't need it. I live in the western US and spend a lot of time hiking in the mountains and red rock deserts. This has been my go-to day pack. I use it about 15 times a year. The pack has held up extremely well considering the cost. All the zippers still work and the stitching hasn't worn at all. The water bottle holders haven't stretched out and still keep my water bottles in fine. I'm very happy with it. I just broke the buckle because I like to have it very tight on my hips. I'll replace the buckle and keep using for another 4 years. By then I'll probably be ready for a new color!
For $20, this is a surprisingly nice little pack. However, it can be made a lot more user-friendly by simply trimming off some of the relatively useless straps. First, this pack doesn't really need compression straps unless you intend to use it for running. It's not big enough to hold enough gear that it would shift around during use, and getting rid of these straps makes it easier to access the compartments, especially the two small ones on either side of the elastic loop area. Just trim the four compression strap lengths as close as possible to where they attach to the bag. Next, unlace the elastic cord from its eyelets and trim off the center bottom strap and loop it went through. This little strap actually prevents the elastic cord from holding a rolled jacket or other article, as it limits the size item you can hold under the cord. Finally, the water bottle pockets have cinch cords with straps much longer than necessary for the size bottle the pockets will accommodate. Put your intended bottles in the pockets, cinch 'em up, and trim the excess strap to about 1" past the buckle. I guarantee if you do these mods you'll find this pack much cleaner in appearance and much less confusing to use. All these straps probably do serve to make the pack look more "pro" and expensive, but they ultimately interfere with its use. The included shoulder straps are very functional and well-made. Using the backpack-style straps gives you a really functional way of carrying enough water and gear for a day hike without needing a backpack, and without the sagging and flopping often associated with lumbar (fanny) packs. Glad I bought this.
Iâm not a hardcore backpacker by any means but I needed a small pack for day hikes and walks in the woods. This is the perfect size for my needs. It can hold all I need and the shoulder straps are a definite bonus. I was surprised by the quality of the pack. Would recommend for a casual hiker.
Iâve owned this pack for over a year and have worn it in the Galapagos, Machu Picchu, and on the many hiking trails in the mountains of central Mexico near Ajijic. (I have not used the shoulder strap or the backpack-style straps.) I carry a rain slicker, protein bars, sunglasses and reading glasses, and two bottles of water. All items travel securely; I never give them a second thought while climbing the steepest trails. I highly recommend this pack for its comfort and practicality.
I am writing this review after utilizing this lumbar pack for a few short day hikes. In my opinion it serves that purpose perfectly. Structurally, it is well built. The material seems durable and the size and shape are very comfortable to wear especially while using the backpack straps. In fact the backpack straps are the best part of this lumbar pack. It takes the weight off your waist so that the bag doesn't droop from the contents. The 2 side pockets hold water bottles secure in place. I actually carry a water bottle in one and a can of bear spray in the other. The elastic ropes in the middle of the pack can also be adjusted to hold an additional item, such as a bottle of insect repellent or sunscreen. The main compartment is very spacious and I put most of my gear in it. The smaller pocket are alright, I have not found much use for them yet. They are too small to accommodate my smart phone, but they do hold my car and home keys while hiking. It is difficult to find replacement backpack straps for this pack so my fear is if I loose or damage the ones I have, it won't make this pack as good to carry, but so far it is going great. I can recommend this product, especially for the price, I believe it is worth it.
You can fit quite a few things needed for a day hike in this pac. The shoulder straps would have made it a breeze to carry, I never recieved them with my order. I looked through the entire pac and box and found nothing. Can these sent out. Thanks
For the past 2 months, I've been using this 4 or 5 times a week (retirement is nice). I'm quite happy with it. The shoulder straps keep it from sliding down, it has plenty of space. Besides some snacks, I carry a first aid kit, small folding binoculars, and other "just in case" gear. I added a clip-on pocket to carry an extra water bottle. So far, no side of any fraying or other deterioration. It's
I was surprised how hard it was to find a fanny pack with suspension straps (suspenders) but Iâm glad I stumbled onto this product. It has ample space for a supplies for a day hike and the suspenders really helped distribute and stabilize the load. Additionally, you can wear a day pack over the top of the suspenders/fanny pack if you want/need to. Itâs a great, inexpensive unit which I highly recommend.
I just received this and tried it on and it's perfect. Love the shoulder straps. Love the extra straps on top so if you wanted to take a sweatshirt or a windbreaker for later in the day you have it with you with out having to carry it in hand. Love this item and can't beat the price!
I love this pack and so does my back. It is great looking, sturdy, and holds everything I need for the dog park.
